The temperature is falling, there’s a wonderful crispness to the air, and pumpkin spice everything is everywhere. These are a few of the wonderful (and downright hilarious) signs that yarn season is back, baby!
We decided to welcome the cooler weather with a knit-along featuring Copenhagen Calling, a gorgeous two color worsted weight cowl sure to keep your stitches flying with three unique sections. First, you’ll cast on and knit a bit of 3×1 rib, then add your second color and work a super simple slip stitch colorwork pattern (no fair isle, only one color per row!), then continue on in just your second color for a beautiful and simple lace pattern.
Each cowl will require 275yds of one color and 360yds of another. How you use them is up to you! You will use less of the color you cast on and knit the ribbing with and more of the secondary color that heads into the lace section.
As a KAL bonus, purchasing your yarn and pattern here at the shop throughout the duration of the KAL will get you a 20% discount! This KAL officially kicks off on Wednesday, October 25th and will run through the end of November. Be sure to join us for our Wednesday night stitch nights for any pattern help you may need.
We hope you’ll enjoy knitting this cowl as much as we do! And last, but not least, a huge thank you to fellow theorist Janet for bringing this pattern back to our attention.
Happy knitting!
